I have the honour of being regarded an expert in Chinese graphic design history and Chinese comic art history internationally, receiving frequent invitations to contribute to various venues and projects.  An active scholar, I have published nearly 50 entries in publications, including books, book chapters, refereed journals, refereed conference proceedings, and other writings for various venues.  Also, I have presented research papers at more than 40 academic conferences, and have spoken at more than 25 public lectures in prestigious international venues.  I have received an SSRHC Standard Grant and curated a large-scale show on Chinese Design at the Design Exchange, a prestigious venue in Toronto. Given the international network I have cultivated and projects that I am involved in so far, it is my intention to remain an active, fully engaged scholar.
